China News Service, Beijing, June 21 (Xinhua) - -The China Cotton Association revealed on May, textile enterprises had sufficient orders, steady production, smooth overall production and sales of the downstream market, good market consumption, and textile enterprises ' demand for cotton raw materials increased. At the end of May, China's domestic cotton inventories continued to decline, with a month-on-month decline. Xinjiang's cotton inventories have dropped sharply.

According to the China Cotton Association investigating 154 cotton delivery and supervision warehouses in 18 provinces and cities in the national cotton trading market, the total cotton turnover inventory was about 2.689,400 tons at the end of May, down 540,300 tons month on month, expanding from last month, lower than 158,900 tons in the same period last year.
By the end of May, the turnover inventory of mainland commodity cotton had decreased by 37,600 tons month on month.

By provinces, Jiangsu Province inventory ranks first, Shandong Province is the second, and Henan Province ranks the third. From the perspective of inventory changes, some consumption provinces declined to different degrees, with the largest decline in Shandong Province, by 24,200 tons; Henan Province fell by 13,000 tons, and other provinces fell below 5,500 tons.
Meanwhile, Xinjiang's cotton stocks have dropped sharply. By the end of May, the working stock of commercial cotton in 43 warehouses in Xinjiang was 1.970,100 tons, down 502,700 tons month-on-month, and 09,400 tons year-on-year
