Due to the delta coronavirus of the new coronavirus, the Bangladesh government decided to start a national lockdown on the textile and clothing industry on July 23 since the Muslim Eid (July 19-23 July). (Bangladesh is the world's second largest exporter of textile and clothing products after China. )
It was observed that the blockade coincided with the annual export time of 40% of textiles; orders of 2021 / 22 were delivered around May, with exports increased about 12% compared with the same period of 2020.

The blockade could cause some customers of the industry to move orders, but there is no area to move except in China with high manufacturing costs. Although the governments of Cambodia and Thailand have not yet imposed a blockade on the industry, so far, Vietnam, Indonesia and other major exporters have begun to impose security restrictions on the epidemic.
